After their father’s mysterious disappearance, Jaylen and his older brother, Gavin Jr., discovered his hidden journals — an archive of experimental blueprints on how to merge human DNA with animal biology. Gavin Jr. rushed to apply the work, injecting himself with a volatile serum based on apex predator genetics and becoming the beast-like powerhouse known as Apex.
